Laura Bancroft [L. Frank Baum] Babes in Birdland: A Fairy Tale Chicago Reilly & Britton 1911 Hardcover with pictorial front paste on and green cloth spine. Owner's gift inscription in pencil on front end paper. Structurally the rear cover is somewhat loose but completely attached; otherwise, the book is unusually tight and solid. There is much wear and abrasions to cover (the picture and lettering is visible but shows wear, scoring, and abrasions). The green spine shows no lettering and is worn and has abrasions and is soft at the top and bottom. Discoloration abounds and the corners are worn with significant cardboard showing. The interior shows frequent staining but is complete and legible; pages are intact although a few have small closed tears. The frontispiece is included, but the picture ''sailing'' on page 86 is missing. Other pictures have chips or nibbling/creases. 12136 Price: 100.00 USD
