The author of several books and numerous articles, Darlene Miller and her husband, Terry, were full-time RVers for 15 years, exploring all of the United States and the provinces in Canada. Her wanderlust has also taken her to foreign countries, including the Netherlands and Africa. When not traveling, she lives in Iowa.

She and Terry have children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She says that faith, family, friends, church, reading, sewing, and gardening are important parts of her life.

Darlene’s newest book, which was released in May 2026, is called Sweet and Bittersweet Memories of the 20th Century. The book includes true memories of 30 people as it travels from 1900 to 1999. It is both historical and a memoir.

The author was inspired to begin the project after receiving six boxes of family memorabilia connected to her Dutch immigrant grandparents, who came to the United States in the early 1900s. Through true stories that are humorous, historical, poignant, and sad, the book ensures these memories and legacies are not forgotten.
